Pendoplast: Krausswerke

28 b&w stereoviews | 1930s Germany

Krausswerke was a metal goods company mostly known for washing machines, tubs, spin dryers and then, during the war, armaments production. Friedrich Emil Krauss took over the company from his father in 1919. In 1937, Hitler awarded the company the title of "National Socialist model company" and during WW II, 200 "forced laborers" worked there. In 1950, Krauss was sent to prison as a war and Nazi criminal but in 1992, the judgment was overturned. Trigger warning: stereoviews below include some references and images of Hitler, swastikas, & the KDF.
