Olimpic-3 View-Master

There are lots of guesses in the View-Master community as to the origins of this viewer. We wish we could offer new information that would solve the mystery once and for all but we can’t — not yet, anyway! We note the following design observations:

  • It’s not cheaply made. It feels fairly solid in the hands.

  • The rivets remind of us the View-Master, Model C.

  • The V-shape on top reminds us of the View-Master, Model E.

  • The Sawyer’s diamond logo mark reminds of the View-Master, Model G.

  • The circular line pattern around the lenses (unlike the typical horizontal line pattern on other View-Masters) match the circular pattern around the letters B. I. on the back.
