Pavelle Color 3D Viewer

United States, 1950s

This is an interesting plastic lorgnette & metal combo that disassembles to fit neatly into its box. Pavelle Color, Inc was founded by Leo Pavelle in the late 1940s and by 1951 boasted an output of 20,000 color prints a day. In addition to producing regular 2D prints for customers, they also offered 3D prints. Pavelle Color was eventually bought by Technicolor Corp in 1956.
