Perfecscope Stereoscope

United States, 1890s/1900s

Patented in 1902 by H. C. White, the Perfecscope offered an almost entirely aluminum assembly — only the handle, divider, and cardholder are made of wood. This one has red velvet binding and the 1900 Paris World’s Fair medallion engraved in the hood. H. C. White also patented the improved hinge assembly for the handle and you can see the separate patent from 1883 marked on the base of the handle.
