GAF View-Master Model L, Test Color

United States, 1970s

Not only does this Model L View-Master have the early “ball” advance lever, but it also has a cream “test” color that was never released to the general public. The 2-piece orange ball tended to fall off the Model L’s and was only produced for a short time. The advance lever was changed to a one-piece design and the Model L continued to be produced for many years through multiple company ownership changes. It was the most popular View-Master model to use for advertising and cartoon character “face” viewers.
