Whiting’s Magic Photo Album Educator

United States, 1900s

Produced by the American Novelty Company in the early 1900s, the copper-tinged stamped metal of Whiting's Magic Photo Album Educator lends a steampunk feel to this 3D viewer. Rotatable lenses allow viewing of single images and the whole thing collapses flat. Brothers Richard & William Whiting started the American Novelty Company in 1913 and are probably better known for creating the Sculptoscope drum viewer.
